About
This is the federated web log of AF0CX, formerly known as KD8LCI, also known as Chris. If you're nosey, there's also the ULS records.
I'm a middle aged ham operator who works in the technology sector. I have had an interesting life with various interests. I've been:
- A touring musician
- A recording artist
- A massage therapist
- A live-in martial arts student in Aikido
- A Linux early adopter (1992, SLS Linux, kernel 0.99pl12)
and of course
- a licensed (and re-licensed!) ham operator.
My interests are obviously varied, but this blog focuses on things as they relate to ham radio learning, experimentation, and practice. I have a lot to re-learn after nearly a decade away from the mic, so feel free to reply on the Fediverse or email me (hint: My first name as Chris, and this is my ham vanity domain).

Politics
While I have strong political views, it is my firm belief that there is a place for these to be expressed. This blog is not one of them. Please enjoy a brief respite from the state of the world consuming your thoughts and spirit.
